Beardies favorite place to poop?

Whenever I put Citrus on my desk he poops? Is that a thing? Do they have a favorite spot? Whenever he hasn't pooped in a while I bring him over to my desk so he can poop. Does he just like to get my desk dirty?? I'm so confused.

Territory marking.

My observation has been that skinks and dragons do not like pooing in what they regard as their territory and if they do , they will establish a latrine area and nearly always go there if they have no choice.

They do this through instinct , in the wild pooing in your own territory is sure to attract the attention of predators.

My little ***** chooses to poop right next to his salad dish, even though he has tons of open space not near his food... *sigh* 🤣
Never knew I could get so happy about poop, or so comfortable with bugs. :-D
