Hi! Is it true that feeding my bearded dragon can have a chance of parasites?? I stopped feeding my beardie crickets because I got scared of this

I don't really have any proof or experience with this as I haven't used crickets as a feeder source in over a decade but I was under the impression that they do carry the risk.
So im posting just to see someone who actually knows give a response lol.

I've been feeding crickets to my dragons as a staple feeder insect for nearly 9 years , never had issues with GIT paracites with my dragons or skinks.

I think the risk of feeder insects who have been breed / farmed under properly sanity/clean conditions giving the reptiles who they are fed to GIT paracites is very overstated and exaggerated.
I'd be looking closely at the food you are feeding to the crickets and ensuring it's been washed before they get it, same reason why we wash our salad and veg before eating it.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
