You can always move the log and if your getting the 10.0 bulb what kind of mesh is on top of your tank -- is it fine mesh or wide mesh (hole) if its fine its going to need to go into the tank anyway about 8-10 inches --- if its a wide hole screen it can go on top --- the T5 10.0 bulb is alot stronger than the T8- the T 5 is the flat fixture whereas the T 8 is a regular fixture--- the T8 will not be strong enough to get thru that screen--- the UVB rays will be blocked from the screen -- thats why I asked -- you can always move her log or get her something else to sit on ---

Oh I don't have any mesh in the cage (me and my dad made it) because I have my tortoise cage on top

Also I looked at the uvb and he couldn't but it lower because it would be swinging side to side(it's attached with zip ties)
