Bearded Dragon with possible Liver or Heart diesase.

Hey there,

Newbie to the fourms here. I am little worried about my little one Xena. She has not been eating for awhile now. So I took her to the vet and they said she has fluid buildup near her liver and heart. They said this could either be a liver disease or heart disease. So they gave me meds to give her for her liver to see if she becomes better. My question is, does anybody here experienced this same issue and what did you guys all do to help treat her/him? The vet only told me to give her the meds and did not know what might have caused the issue. So I don't know where to start other than give her, her meds. Please help!!!! I'm really worried.

P.S im also assist feeding her since she is not eating. Could this have been something that was caused by me?

I'm sorry to hear she is not well. There are many possible causes and it could just be genetics rather than something you did. Can you post some photos of her? You can upload photos here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ and post them to your thread using the XIMG button when you reply.

What is her weight? Sometimes organ issues can arise if they are overweight or have a high fat diet.
