We got our first bearded dragon just over a week ago and I noticed when she was picked up when we got her that her back legs poked upwards, like a spasm, then settled back down and she started walking etc so I assumed she was just stretching or something.
Since then she has deteriorated severly and cannot use any of her legs or hold her head up and keeps having what I think are seizures (her body goes stiff and she shakes slightly as her eyes roll and her mouth is open) after, she does some big deep breaths and appears to sleep. She has had at least 20 in the last 6 hours. She has also developed what looks like a hunched back.
We do not have a vet that specialises in reptiles anywhere near us, but our local vet, said she thinks its MBD, and has said to syringe feed her puree veggie mixed with calcium powder.
She has pooped today and it was very runny. She is under a heat light and has a brand new uvb light. She cannot move though so Im not sure how close I should keep her?
The breeder told us she was 3 months old. She has blocked me now though.
Basically what Im asking is does it sound like she will recover or am I just prolonging the inevitable?
