Acting kinda different

Postby Emjay22 » Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:29 pm

So I’ve had Tavia for about six months now, (she’s 8 months old) and she used to be very cuddly and loved snuggling with a blanket and stuff like that. Lately she’s been acting very spunky (I guess that’s the word for it) she tries to jump very far distances and misses, and I always somehow find a way to catch her before she lands and hurts herself. She also always tries to climb onto my head, which is fine but she usually gets her little nails tangled in my hair and she tries to bury herself in it. Is this just a teenage beardie behaviour, or is this just going to be how she is now? If it is that’s okay, it’s just kind of weird her behaviour changed all of a sudden

Thanks!!!

Yeah it could be teenage hormones or seasonal hormones (which happens after teenage years too). They tend to calm down after a bit, but keep an eye on her (while still giving her space to burn off steam) so she doesn't wind up getting hurt while thinking she can fly.

Thanks for your reply!
I will make sure to keep an eye on her, and I took a climbing thing out of her viv so she can’t jump off and crash into a branch (which she has done a few times) I’m pretty sure she thinks she’s an actual dragon :D

Thanks again!

Em :)
