Finley is my first beardie, he is 4 months old and a very special little guy. Finley has been through a lot in his life. First of all he is abnormally small, he was born smaller than all of his siblings, he is about half the size most 4 months are even though we have the correct husbandry. We took him to the vet and they said he was perfectly healthy other than that he was small. The person I got him from is an experienced bearded dragon owner and was taking excellent care of him. He has been growing very quickly since I got him however and there is no doubt in my mind he will catch up to regular size soon enough. He also broke his back when he was very young (I believe it was when he was about 1 month old) he jumped off the seller while they were holding him. His back legs were completely paralyzed and I was worried when I got him that when he got bigger he wouldn’t be able to self regulate and get around well. Luckily his back end has been growing at the same rate as the rest of him so there isn’t anything wonky there, he’s also doubled in size since the accident. The break was far enough back to not mess with any of his organs or digestion. Recently he has regained movement of his back legs and he using them a lot, it’s a miracle seeing as they were COMPLETELY paralyzed before. They are still a little shaky and he can’t move them a whole bunch, but he uses them to get around. So his legs are working and he’s growing super fast. The vet we went to was a special reptile vet and they said that he is growing fast and that his size shouldn’t cause any problems and he will most likely continue to grow and catch up to regular size.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
