Food & water during brumation

Hi everyone,
I've never seen my beardy drinking. Not from his drinking plate nor from something else. He is 5 years old and is healthy. He does eat cucumber and fruit. However, he is in brumation now and has not been awake for a month, which is normal for him, but this means that he does not drink or eat during brumation. I can put cucumber there every 2 days but he probably won't react. Shall I wait till he wakes up and try to feed him? And is it a problem that he never seems to drink?
Thanks in advance!
Anne

Hello Anne,

Bearded dragon while brumating won't eat or drink sometimes, it isn't that bad. As long as he pooed since the last time he ate, I would leave him alone to sleep. Monitor his weight, just to make sure there isn't a drastic drop.

As for drinking, if your beardie is well hydrated enough, it won't need to drink. Just keep giving him regular bath and you should be good.

Hello,

That is right, just keep an eye on him making sure his bodyweight stays stable. Just check
on him every few days so he knows you are there. LOL

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
