Hi everyone

I'm a little concerned about Spyro our new dragon, she is approx 5/ 6 months old, when we got her she had a little black mark at the base of the tail, that we thought noting of (ignorance on my part here) since learning about tail rot I am concerned, we have had Spyro for just on 6 weeks, the darkness is mostly on the top of the tail and not underneath, she has recently shed. You can see in the pics that is has not got any larger/spread,... Do you think this is tail rot? Would appreciate some advice. Below are the pics I mentioned.

Our set up is good, she eats and poos and sheds well. Temp is around 81 in the cool end and 105 under the basking spot, I have a ceramic heater on a puls star and used a infrared digital thermometer.

Really appreciate some expert advice!

Thanks in advance

Hi, it doesn't look like tail rot but just a slight area of trauma. It should be fine but if it gets worse you might need to see about it. For now it's nothing to worry about. :)

Thank you for helping put my mind at rest, she is not in any disconfort and it has not spread, hopfully all will be fine as you say, thank you again.

It looks like a nip. Sometimes Beardies will bite eachothers tails. It happens when they’re young and is extremely common with large clutches. Nothing to worry about though!

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
