How was this in beardie er ?
Re: Help light placement problem50cm is a bit too far, yes. A T8 has an effective output at around 15-20cm above the main basking area while a T5 will have an effective output at 30-35cm. Beyond that the outputs drop quite a bit. Can you build a branch or basking spot that allows closer access to the bulb? A nice piece of driftwood or similar, allowing access to about 15cm below the UVB light should help.

Re: Help light placement problemHello,
Are you using a bright white basking light? Is the Reptiglo 10, a tube bulb or a compact/coil light? A distance of around 20 centimers which is roughly 7-8 inches for the light. That is an ideal distance for a tube bulb, the 10 tube. It will need to be mounted alongside of the basking light, to protect the eyes & provide a nice heat + UVB combination for him. Sorry CooperDragon, just moved & posted. LOL Tracie
Re: Help light placement problemI am using a reptiglo 10.0 120 cm tube and an exo terra 100 w basking spot light
