Hi all
So my beardie Skittles has been diagnosed with too high to count coccidia and pinworms.

Albon suspension 250 mg .5 ml 2x on day 1, then 1 time a day until gone for coccidia.

Also the pinworms med
panacur oral liquid 1.40 ml .35 mls a day for 3 days

what do you guys think of this?

Anyways I want to treat her with the medication as well as Acidophiliz+

What is the best way to clean the tank
I heard you had to keep it as clean as you can, and spot clean everyday.
Will Wipeout by zoomed work?
And how often should I clean her cage?

I should note that I am getting f10sc
I just need to know what strength I need. And then start using that instead of wipeout
and where can I buy the Acidophiliz+?

EDIT: I need to know if zoo med wipe out will work the f10sc doesn't get here until the 23rd
And I found someone who sells Acidophiliz+ apparently it's beautiful dragons.
Should I get it from them?

Hi there, I don't know about Zoo Med wipeout but the F10 cleaner is good. Red wine vinegar is also good for killing just about anything, dilute it to 1/4 cup per gallon of water or just pour some on a wad of wet paper towels to clean smooth surfaces, then rinse with plain wet paper towels. Just clean the tank the best you can and try not to worry too much.

BTW, Albon is very harsh, the much more recommended drug that usually works in just a few doses is Ponazuril aka toltrazuril. You can get it here, as well as the other products you mentioned. :

It's also sold in 2.5 strength for smaller dragons. Is your dragon still active + eating ? Do you have any pics of her ?

Can I give her Ponazuril with Albon? as well as her pinworms medication.
I already started treatment
So I'm going to e-mail my doctor and ask about this miracle drug.

And what dosage do you recommend? She's a big girl.

Not active, lethargic
Not eating staples, only treats

The dosing instructions are right on the bottle. I'd get her off the Albon as soon as the toltrazuril comes in, but don't give those meds. [ anti-coccidial ] at the same time. It's fine to ive it with the Panacur since that's not a harsh drug either.

Can you post pics of her ?

Okay I will get her off of it, I'm going to get the ponazuril.

I'm sure the albon is pretty harsh I can tell my beardie don't like it that much.
I gave her dose 2 today.

As soon as the Toltrazuril comes in I'll start giving it to her.
how many Mls would I need for a big adult dragon?

I figured it out I found a dosage chart online and did a little math
Easy enough

so .28 X3 days for a 700 G dragon sound right

I think I figured it out.

So should I stop the Albon is the question or would it hurt to keep giving it to her?
I ordered the ponazuril, I dunno when it's going to get here.
What do you think?

If it doesn't seem to make her too unhappy it's O.K, otherwise I'd wait on the ponazuril.

She's not too happy
I already E-mailed the vet and asked if she knew anything about ponazuril
Still waiting for a reply.

And, about feeding.
Can I continue feeding the bugs I had when she was sick or should I toss them all and get new bugs?

EDIT:
She keeps flashing her nictitating membrane
And when she bulges her eyes, a little water comes out.

The eye thing is probably harmless and unrelated but just watch that it doesn't get worse. Your vet may not be happy that you are taking internet advice, Albon DOES work on coccidia but it is a sulfa drug and much more harsh over all. Plus it needs to be taken longer than Ponazuril so since you already ordered the Ponazuril you can decide if you want to wait until it arrives. Do you know when it will be shipped out ?

And no, I'd keep the feeder insects rather than throw them out.

Hello,

Where did you order your Ponazuril?
I agree, the Albon is somewhat effective, but, it is so harsh on the kidneys. Are you giving
any probiotics as well, to help settle the system a little bit? That usually helps quite a bit
& boosts the appetite while on meds, too. The Ponazuril is a direct anti-coccidial so you will
have to give much less because it's more effective. Thus, it is a lot easier on the system, also.
Are you keeping your dragon hydrated too?
The bugs that you have been feeding, did you get them out & have them in her feeding area
to where she had any contact with them? If not, then they will be fine to keep & continue
feeding.
It is always good to keep the tank around 80 to help boost her immune system while she is
not feeling very well.

Let us know how she is doing.

I got the med from http://www.beardeddragon.co/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=478

I'm going to start giving Acidophiliz+ when I can get it from beautiful dragons.

I would like to start her on Ponazuril
It would be difficult though if there are conflicting views on the drug.
My doctor may never even heard of it who knows.
But me personally I want her to feel better sooner rather than later.

I will keep her hydrated, just give her a bath?

The bugs were not in the tank.
I will throw out the ones that were.

Hey all.
Just wondering how to dose acidophilliz
She's got one more dose of albon then I retest her in 2 weeks
She's been on albon for a week now

How much of it should I give her she's been on albon.
I heard a full dropper full a day

And I got the toltrazuril as well.

And what ratio should I be running f10sc
I have it on 1:250

Hello,

The acidophiliz can be given in an amount of .5ml to 1ml daily which is essentially about a
dropper full. I would give during the medication round & for a couple of weeks after the last
dose of medications.
How is your dragon doing now, is she doing alright on the Albon?
Did you purchase the F10 already diluted or did you dilute it down yourself? That should be
sufficient for that. I haven't used it in awhile but quite a few people do. I can double check
for you, if you need on the strength.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
