Is this mouth rot???

I recently adopted my beardie Cooper, and I noticed the tip of his tongue is a grey color.. and there is like a scab or something on his mouth. Does anyone know what this is or if it is bad? I have had him for less than a week. Also, is mouth rot contagious? I have another baby bearded dragon that I keep separate, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Hi there, the grey tongue tip is normal and the little chin spot is harmless, could be dried food or just a slight scrape. No mouth rot there, he looks good. :)

Good name =). I agree that the change in color at the tip of the tongue is normal. My dragon also has a scab like that on his chin. It sometimes sheds but eventually returns. I think it was originally caused by glass surfing and rubbing up against things. I'm not sure why it still grows back that way but it definitely doesn't cause any problems.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
