During bathtime today I noticed this on my youngest beardie, Cirella. Please tell me I am paranoid & it is not YF. A vet appointment has been made for all Dragons. I am extremely concerned.

Does it look crusty, scabby or anything out of the ordinary aside from the coloring? If not, it is just a coloring and nothing to worry about.

If you suspect it's YF, you should bring her to a vet to have a skin sample tested to confirm.

That just looks like natural yellow coloring to me. Maybe a ring of shed starting around the neck. If you're concerned certainly have a skin test done.

I don't see any definite signs of Y.F. As the others mentioned it looks like natural color and/or skin shedding. If you are truly concerned, have a skin scraping done by an experienced ONLY vet. Some vets are called " exotics vets " but actually treat mostly small mammals, birds and a few reptiles. They can do more harm than good in many cases. I've seen several beardie owners take the dragon to a vet that prescribes antibiotics " just in case " because they have no clue but they feel the need to prescribe something. Antibiotics are useless for Y.F. treatment, so the owner wastes their money and puts harmful meds. in the dragon for nothing.

Anyway, I think he's fine but if you have a reptile specialist nearby then have a skin scraping done.

Hello,

I concur! It honestly doesn't appear to be yellow fungus to me either. I think it's natural color
& pigmentation instead.
You can always get a scraping done by the vet just to be sure, but I think your dragon is just
fine. :D

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
