We have a 5-ish month old beardie. He is in a 29-30 gal tank (it's a short one, not the tall kind). He seems like he is crowded. He has grown so much since we've had him. How big should we go? I don't want to have to buy a new tank every couple of months. LOL

Hi!

Lots of people usually regard a 40 gallon breeder tank (36" by 18") as the absolute minimum tank size for an adult beardie. However, your bearded dragon will thrive best in a 4ft x 2ft cage. You can try viewing the cages by Animal Plastics or Vivexotics (depending on where you live) for some of these cages.

Hello,

As suggested, a 40 gallon tank really is minimum for a juvenile to adult. You could go ahead &
upgrade to either a 75 or 90 gallon. That way you wont have to upgrade again, unless you wanted
something larger, later on.
He still has a good amount of growing to do!
