im sorry i just have so many questions im an anxious mother.

my baby keith usually poops everyday but he didn't today- maybe he's growing and will poop tomorrow ? this has already happened once but he pooped right when he went for a bath. he eats so, so much so i'm hoping he's just digesting it all rn- his belly is big aah.

(also i'm leaving home for a week or two, does anyone have tips on beardie care from far away ? maybe a list to compile for the caretakers ? i might be leaving him with an older couple- so i worry his light might be coming on later than usual.)

((double also, is it alright that everynight when i shut his light off i take him out so he can sleep while i do pc work or watch a movie ? as i type he's curled into my pc/foot. about to move him to my lap))

also on the poop question- his poop used to smell awful ! real bad- but i don't think it was parasites but due to his last owner not giving him high enough basking light temps- or high enough temps at all. perhaps it wasn't digesting well ? his latest poops haven't been any smellier than they should be- so maybe his tummy is rejoicing and taking it's time actually digesting food ?

<<< best if you can , to take him with you .... can never trust beardie sitters .... seen so many horror stories about what the sitters did / didn't do ....

Best to use an insured pet sitter or reptile boarder tbh.

A very cost effective measure you can take before you go is get a timer for your lights. Then they will turn on and off automatically.

Local vet it is ! We have a reptile specialist vet nearby and I'll call to see if they, or us anyone they know is qualified to look after him.

And I'm going camping so- I don't think I can bring him.

Definitely not a good idea to take a bearded dragon camping , too risky and too many sticky fingers at camp sites and too many other animals (4 legged) around.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
