Beardie ate shamrocks

I was outside with my beardie and she got away from me and ate a chomp of small shamrock (not clover) leaves. May be 3 or 4 of them. My former vet is no longer in practice so I tried calling several other vets and none have experience with reptiles. She hasn't shown any symptoms of illness yet but I've read that shamrocks are toxic to beardies. Help!

Can you post a pic of the "not clover" shamrock leaves like he ate?

Having trouble uploading photos. It's Oxalis Stricta, the common little shamrocks with the yellow flowers that grow all over the lawn.

Thanks, that's a relief! Though I do think we'll be sticking with the tried and true dandelions when it comes to outdoor snacks.

if it the plant you mention , its fine to each.
found this for : Oxalis Stricta
The leaves, flowers and unripe fruits are edible, with a mild lemon-sour flavor - that's were it gets the name sour grass. Edible gardeners use it as a salad green or add them to soups, sauces or as a seasoning. It is rich in vitamin C and will quench thirst on hot summer days. Kind of nice to chew on when weeding.

Oxalis stricta is wood sorrel and is mistakenly called shamrock. Shamrock is actually clover. Both clover and wood sorrel are edible , but wood sorrel has the high oxalates. Shamrocks are actually clover which is more nutritious and is pictured here. If your dragon ate wood sorrel which looks like clover but has tiny YELLOW flowers rather than larger pink/white flowers then it did not eat shamrock but ate wood sorrel. Clover aka shamrock is quite nutritious , my beardies enjoy it mixed in a salad or when they're out in the yard at times. Here's some info on clover , within this short article is a link to wood sorrel with pics as well in the grey box.

I get a back yard full of that stuff every summer .... I wish it was safe to let my skinks and dragons to roam and graze .

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
