Introducing a female

I have a male beardie who's 3 and a half about. He's very mature and has mellowed out. A friend of a friend has a 2 year old female beardie and says she's still too aggressive for him to even put his hand in the tank so he wants to get rid of her. More than me wanting to take her, I don't think he is fit to own her. I'm hesitant because I don't know how introducing a female into my tank will make the two of them react. He won't offer the tank either so I have no separation. However I have a very large tank

Two separate tanks for starters. Not wize to have 2 beardies housed together all the time, so I wouldn't house them together even if I had a HUGE tank with multiple hides and basking spots.

I think perhaps you could try introducing them to each other on neutral territory (on the floor somewhere) and supervise the interaction very closely. Be ready to intervene.
Expect lots of headnobbing from the pair, lots of armwaving from her, and for him to become very very interested in her and want to mate with her.

He can move very fast and be on top of her in a flash.

If your not planning on pairing them up for breeding they shouldnt be housed together. If the female is aggressive enough to attack a human she would likely attack the male dragon. Then we will be trying to give you advice in the 'Emergency Room' section of the forum.

Thank you for your responses ! I don't plan on breeding, I just didn't want her to be stuck with a bad owner. I'm going to look for someone who can take her in and give her the attention she needs! I really appreciate the responses
