Setting Up A Basking Spot

I want to set up a basking spot in my living room for Reptar. Does anyone have some ideas on how to do this? Half of the room is tile and the rest is carpet. I have a strong fear of fire, so I want the basking spot to be as safe as possible.

This is what i set up one day.

I've moved it to the tile in front of the fireplace and I have it on when I can supervise and am in the same room for a while.
