Our baby bearded dragon is going through his first shed and is refusing to eat.
He is drinking water and eating calcium dust but doesn't want to eat his veg or insects.
Is this normal.
We are going to bathe him to see if it helps.
We know he's sore because he doesn't want to be picked up.
Our adult bearded dragon never had this problem as he was on to his second shedding by the time we got him.
The adult one is in a completely different room so we know stress isn't a cause.

Yeah it's relatively common for them to get moody and stop eating for a bit during a shed cycle. It doesn't always happen but it's known to sometimes and isn't usually a problem. As long as he remains active/alert and his weight is stable he should be fine.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
