Which UVB bulb?

Hello, I was just wondering which UVB bulb I should have? I have a 6 month old male bearded dragon and I have a Repti glo 10.0 and 2.0 T8 situated on the roof. I have been told that these bulbs can damage their eyes, which I had no idea about :(

Would anybody be able to recommend which bulb/brand/fixture I need? :)

They may be a bit under powered. What are the dimensions of your enclosure? How far is the highest basking area from the top of the tank?

Hi I'm so sorry for the late reply! I completely forgot that I even posted this as I've been so focused on this pinworms/coccidia matter! The dimensions are 4 X 1.5 X 1.4. I have taken his wooden basking spot away to bake it but right now he is around 11 inches away from the 10.0 and 9 away from the 2.0. The distance is less than this when his usual basking spot is there! Should I buy the reptisun 10.0 T8 or T5? I'm not sure of the difference :(

With that size enclosure and distances I think you'll be better off with a T5. The 2.0 probably isn't doing much and the 10.0 T8 you have doesn't put out much beyond 8'' or so. Optimal distance for those is about 6''. If you pick up a T5, it's much higher output (and they last at least twice as long) with an optimal distance more around 12'' so the current distance from your lights would be a good match. I use this one and it's amazing. http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/22-t-5-ho-fixture-high-output-with-arcadia-d3-12-ho-bulb/

Hello yes I am in the UK! Thanks so much for your suggestions! Is there a cheaper alternative to this bulb which is just as good??

Not one that is just as good. You could get a T8 version with an optimal output at 15-20cm (instead of 30-35cm) from the bulb. They are cheaper, but they don't tend to last as long, and require bulb replacement every 6 months or so rather than lasting over a year with good UVB output.

This is the T8 setup:

Hi, is this the same bulb? I'm not sure what the wattage is supposed to be?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Arcadia-FD3P30-12-Percent-Reptiles-36-inch/dp/B002UDTYFW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1475688637&sr=8-1&keywords=arcadia+12%25+uvb

http://www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/arcadia-d3-12%25-uvb-high-output-t5-reptile-lamp-(online-only) - I'm not sure of the size for this one. It says it comes in 24w, 39w, and 54w?

Would this work with the Exo Terra power outlet for the Repti Glo T8 bulb that I currently have?

I don't think the second link is working. The Arcadia from the first link is a good bulb. Not exactly the same as the one I linked but it's good. It's a T8 and the wattage depends on the length of the bulb. You'll want one that is the size that goes with your current fixture if you want to use it.

Oh, sorry! Maybe because it's a UK only store? I'm not sure. I have selected 36 inches, because my current bulb is around that size.
