Trouble picking up food

Does anybody elses dragon have trouble grabbing diced fruit an veg ie apple squash pepper cucumber mango?
Fuzzy goes to grab it but misses it. At first i thought it was the dish so i put it on the floor but its the same. Its like he nose buts the floor. Must be so frustrating.
Any ideas how to help him?

P.S he has no trouble with live food ?

I've not had one miss the chopped up food but I have seen many have trouble picking up wet or slick foods like mango and grape.

Sometimes my guy has trouble picking up squash on the first try. I just hold it out and encourage him to try again and he eventually gets it. If he gets frustrated and stops trying, I offer a different veg and come back to it later.
