I have had my 3 month old Beardie for about 3 weeks now. She has been eating like a pig and even ate this morning just fine. She has always seemed a little defensive to me but I've been taming her and she has been letting me pick her up and stroke her beard. Today out of no where, she took off running from her basking spot and hid in her hideout. She stayed in there for a couple of hours and would not come out. I finally got her out and she has just been in a sort of frozen state where she won't move much at all. I gave her a warm bath and she pooped really good for me in the bath. She won't even go for her worms or dubia right now and is in the corner just sitting there. What could be wrong with her?

Update. I think I found the issue. She was bobbing her head at the glass and jumping around crazy. I think she sees her reflection and thinks there is another dragon in there. I have one of those backgrounds that sticks to the back of the aquarium but you can still see a reflection. I temporarily put a piece of paper on the glass to block the reflection. Any tips?

Try putting the background on the inside of the tank maybe? You could cover the other sides with any paper or something

Yeah I covered all inside glass except the front with paper. Was trying to think of some creative ways to cover them with tiles or something more decorative.

You can make realistic/natural backgrounds with Great Stuff foam. It is pretty cheap, and it looks great. I can give you some links, if you'd like

Basically, you can make them as simple or complex as you'd like. If you wanna go for simple, just spray the great stuff of to the back of your tank, wait for it to dry, paint, and then seal it. There are a TON of threads on it on here

Here is another super simple one. You could even take out the silicone and replace it with paint and not do the bedding thing

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
