Hi! Dobby is 1 year old now, and big enough to upgrade to a new tank. He has been in a 20L for his whole life, and I have heard that a 40 is the right size to upgrade to. Any recommendations on what tank to get?

I'd go larger if you can. The 40 breeder is really a minimum and I'd only use that if he gets a lot of time outside of the tank. Shoot for something that's at least 4'x2'x2'. That can be difficult to find unless you get into custom builds which can be expensive (especially shipping). If you can, your best bet might be to build one. Here is a walkthrough of a popular model https://beardies.dreamwidth.org/2145.html

I've seen that link before, but the problem is, I don't have any access to power tools :(

take a look around sale sites like craigslist or places like that.. you may have to drive a little bit but i've found a few cages, both custom and name brand, that are relatively cheap. if you have the plans for a custom cage and present it to a hardware store they will usually help you out by cutting wood and pre-drilling some materials for you, just need to call around.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
