Hi, I had a friend drop off a baby beardie. Not sure of age, is very small. I have a 10 gallon tank (will get a bigger tank soon) I have a 50w heat bulb on top and retold carpet in tank I'm feeding him small crickets and he has a log to climb on. Will he be ok for 2 weeks until I can get a uvb bulb a night bulb and better tank things? Oh he also has a shallow thing of water. Do you mist beardie with water?

If he's small you're probably fine with a 10 gal. Uvb is very critical. If you cannot get a uvb bulb within 2 weeks. Try to take him into natural sunlight. Without uvb they can devolop MTB. try to get a light sooner. Go with the reptisun 10.0, compact or tube.

Hi. I don't know if you have a petco near you , but they have a sale going on a dollar a gallon. You need to get him him a uvb light asap or take him out side, but not in the tank. A reptisun 10.0 Tube is what you want. Do not get any coil or compact uvb light. You also want a good thermometer as having the correct temps is also very important. A temp gun or digital with a wire probe are the only ways to get accurate readings. Don't forget to dust his feeders with calcium. Also night time lights are not good for them as beardies need complete darkness and they like it cool at night. As long as your house doesnot go below 65 he'll be fine.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
