So I have an Exo Terra dual fluorescent canopy that fits 30" bulbs which seem to be near impossible to find. I have the 30" reptiglo bulb already but the fixture won't work without a second bulb.

As I said, it seems to be impossible to find 30" bulbs of any sort.

A friend has an aquarium bulb that is 30" but I wasn't sure if it was okay to use.. it's one of these .. https://www.amazon.ca/Power-GLO-A1627-Fluorescent-Aquarium-30-Inch/dp/B0006JLODM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1465750015&sr=8-5&keywords=power+glo

Is this okay to use as the second bulb? If not does anyone know a Canadian retailer that carries 30" bulbs that I can use.

Thanks!

An 18000k light sounds pretty intense (I haven't seen one but read they're used in saltwater setups which tend to be very bright). It may be worth a try but I'd definitely provide lots of shade areas. It may be too intense at the distances needed for a T8 UVB light anyway. It is probably a better idea to scrap the fixture if you can and go with a more common size or even better to swap up to a T5 fixture and bulb which will be nice and bright on it's own.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
