kicking back legs?

my beardie has some flaking off shed on her toes and legs so i tried the q tip method to get it off. she got very upset when i came near her toes, which i knew was a possibility but i was told it doesn't actually hurt her, she's just scared. i kept going but she started kicking her back leg at me when i would touch it or come near, so i decided to leave it alone. is this just because she's scared and should i keep going, or should i leave her alone and let it come off on it's own?

I would let it come of on its own too much stress isn't good for bearded dragons or any one for that matter. The shed wwon't hurt them one bit if you just let it come off naturally

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
