My beardie from time to time will sit there with his mouth open I was wondering if anyone could tell me why he does this I know it's not because he's hungry or thirsty as I keep my beardie very well fed as well as very well hydrated sometimes when he does this he closes his eyes could it be because be is sleepy I am totally at a loss

Its normal, regulating temps.
Once you get an instant temp gauge and adjust his basking spot he will not do it as much.

Do they normally do it when they are too hot or do they do it when they are too cool and I thought that just regulate their body temps by just moving to a cooler spot thanks for your help

When my beardie had too much food, he will sit on the hot spot and get enough heat for digestion and with his mouth open to regulate the temperature. If he doesn't need the heat to digest the food, he will move to a cooler place in his tank.

It's nothing to worry about. It's normal they do it when they have reached the right temperature and they just right and happy. My beardie frank does it all the time they just like to do it. :-D

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
