Smartphone app??

Hi! Will this forum ever have an app?? I think it would be so awesome!! This is one of my favorite forums and has been very helpful and met kind people!

I don't think so since that would take a lot of development time. The mobile version of the site works pretty well from a smartphone. Are there any specific improvements that you'd like to see that a dedicated app would provide over the mobile version of the site?

Like CooperDragon said... not likely. Forums websites aren't well served by dedicated apps. It's a lot to develop for a simple feature-set. And unfortunately, apps out there that you can "integrate" with, end up stripping ads and putting their own in, taking away the funds that help keep this site going free of charge for visitors.

I am hoping (hard with a new family) to try and upgrade things a bit in the coming year. It won't be a massive overhaul, but hopefully some improvements with the updated forum software. It takes time to setup a test version of the site with the update, and then for me to migrate all the template customizations to the new update's formatting/features.

But, as CooperDragon said... the mobile template hopefully makes it a bit more usable on mobile.
