Super Meal Worm Colony..

Hey guys! So, I have started to make a colony as of a month ago. I finally got three beetles and put them in their own section. I added cotton balls (Nov 10th).. GUESS WHAT I FOUND IN THE COTTON BALLS TODAY! BABY FREAKING WORMS! I did it! Now, I took the beetles out of the section and put them in a new section. But, what do I do to maintain that section that has the baby worms. How do I keep them alive and thriving! I AM SO EXCITED. :)

Theyr'e easy to care for, put them in a plastic shoe box [ or anything similar ] and add about an inch of oatmeal or bran. Add a small chunk of any of either potato, sweet potato, or carrot. Every once in a while you can add a small handful of greens. Then just check once in a while to be sure the veggies aren't getting moldy but that rarely happens. Don't put a lid on, they can not crawl out and a lid can cause humidity + mold .

Hello,

That's great, superworms are easy to care for. As suggested, use a bedding for them
because they like to burrow. Always keep potato, apple or carrot in there for them so
they have moisture.

Hi, thats really great news, use proper bedding for them and bananas are really good for them. I have also used cotton balls, did this before. :)

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
