Hi all,

I just read through the very helpful and detailed guide to breeding superworms, and I have two questions: can my beetles get their moisture from cricket gel, or do they need fresh fruits or vegetables as a water source? If they can drink from the cubes, do they need fresh fruits and vegetables anyway as a food source, or does the substrate (my substrate is ground oats and cornmeal) serve as the food source? Thanks!

I haven't tried using the gel. I usually fed my supers on scraps of vegetables like carrots or squash. Not a lot, just a bit on top of the oats that they'd usually pull down a little bit. The combination of the two (veges and oats) kept them alive for quite a long time.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
