Soo... someone at work overheard me and a friend talking about my leopard gecko. He mentioned he used to have a crested gecko and had some cricket food left over. He gave it to me, and I took it graciously. When I got home, I noticed it's quite a bit out of date, but I would hate for such a kind gesture to go to waste. Would using this old food on my feeders cause any harm to my reptiles that eat them?

What is in the cricket food? It might be OK but there is also a (probably low) risk of transferring parasites via the food. Generally I prefer to offer feeder bugs fresh food and veges for hydration and gutloading vs commercial diets but a combination of commercial and fresh food might be fine.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
