Dubias??? OOS!

Hey everyone! My supplier is out of roaches. Where can o order some from? I had a subscription from gotdubia.com but they have stopped selling for a while.

I just ordered some from Kimbrells cold blooded. Haven't gotten them yet to give any reviews though.

I have had good experience with https://dubiaroaches.com/ , https://www.topflightdubia.com/ , and https://www.dubideli.com/.

Stock everywhere seems to be low or down to select sizes. I know many find the idea of breeding them for a continual food supply daunting/undesirable, but it really is a great thing if you are able. I have 6 Beardies and the current stock would be driving me crazy right now if I didn't have a good colony. On top of that I control all of their food provided which I prefer as I know exactly what I am passing on to my Beardies when they in turn are fed. This is not to say I think that breeders you would buy from do a bad job or feed badly, but there just really isn't any way to know for sure. For instance I had read in a few places that Dubia love oranges and had been attributed to faster breeding, but also would not be good to feed to much and then have your Beardie eat them, so I did an experiment of separating my colony in half and feeding 1 group some oranges at times and the other none. Now first off I am not calling this a scientific conclusion just my experience, I did see more voracious eating of the oranges and it did appear to increase activity to include colony growth to a small degree. But with that said I did not feed any of those until they had been eating other foods (that i wanted to pass on to my Beardies) for at least a week as Dubias do have a long digestive tract.

Thank you for the suggestions! I have actually tried once to breed them myself and it did not go well at all! I’m tempted to try again though with what’s going on.
