Do you need to feed BSFL/Phoenix worms?

I usually buy 1000 small BSFL from symptomBSF and I feed them the leftover greens my beardie doesn’t eat. But when they eat it, it fills the container with this black, sticky, smelly mucus and I have to clean the cage for the worms regularly. I have no interest in breeding them. Do I have to feed them? I usually only have them for a month or so since I have a baby beardie so will they last that long without food? Thanks

I don't feed them. I just leave them in the container they ship with. Eventually they hatch into flies which also make a good treat.

They love bee pollen and banana

I tried banana one time and they gobbled it up

I get 1000 about every 3 weeks. I never feed them but keep them in the containers they come in, in a cooler with a couple of freezer packs. They will last perfectly until the next shipment arrives.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
