I know that BSFL/Phoenix Worms can be used as a staple, but I heard they can't be a long term staple such as dubia roaches because of calcium overdose in beardies. I'm planning on getting BFSL for my 9 month. If the above is true, could I have BSFL feed asa long term staple with my dubia roaches?

Thank you for any help.

I don't think they would cause a calcium overdose and they are good bug to offer. That said, I suggest rotating feeder bugs to offer as much variety as you can. BSFL, silk worms, horn worms, crickets, roaches, are all good to offer when you can get them.

Copperdragon what is your opinion on superworms? i have heard good and bad.. I know they can be high in fat but my dragon needs extra weight..my biggest concern is ...can they still bite after eaten? now that scares me..Thanks Copper

They are harmless in terms of biting. That's an urban legend. They really love the supers but the downside is they can become addictive and dragons will start holding out for them. They have also been known to really overdo it and eat so many at once they throw up. If you offer them as a treat or in moderation as part of a balanced diet I think they have a place in the rotation.
