I am thinking of breeding waxworms, then reading in they can be a major pest, how can i keep my waxworms from flying or escaping when you open the lid?
Why would you breed waxworms? Due to an extremely high fat content, waxworms are only acceptable for use as treats — not as a staple feeder in any way. If you want to a breed your own feeder insects, dubia roaches and silkworms are better alternatives.
Just to keep them as an extra snack. I use them as treats and not staples. Alot of them are pupating already and i just wanna be prepared for when they turn into moths too.
