Does anyone actually have a cricket colony?

Was wondering if anyone here has a successful cricket colony? I had no issues breeding them (there must have been thousands of pinheads over the course of a few weeks) but had no luck raising them. I had a grand total of 0 grow to an edible size.
I'm sure it's possible, does anyone have advice for raising crickets from pinheads?

Hmm, I don't think it was either of those. I left the lid off to stop humidity building up, and there was no mould that I could see. I did my best to keep it clean, removing waste and changing the water sponge, but I couldn't disinfect it because it's pretty hard to move pinhead around
