I just ordered a thousand giant mealworms plus bran. Does anyone know of a good setup/care sheet for someone NOT interested in breeding them, but just keeping them alive? What size of plastic box should I look for, for example?

Thanks!

You don't need a care sheet trust me! LOL

Give them a carrot. Remove it if it's not fully eaten in 2 or 3 days or if it starts to get moldy.
I use a 3 tier drawer like this:

1 of those drawers is enough for your 1000 worms.

I like the 3 because I keep superworms in the top, mealworms in the middle, and my mealworm eggs/breeders in the bottom.

They do well at room temperature. As described, all they really need is a bed of oats or similar and fresh veges put on top for them to eat. They are fairly hands-off aside from that.

You can put them in a wine fridge if you want. But they are fine at room temp. Wine fridge just prevents them from wanting to turn into pupae. But you can feed the pupae too anyways.

Wonderful! I don’t have a wine fridge, but I do have plastic storage drawers. Room temp it is!

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
