plywood

I've read all the DIY post I can find but one thing is bugging me. I've been told that pine is bad for bearded dragons but can we use plywood for enclosures? I can get pine and aspen. But where I'm from maple and oak is stupid expensive.
I would be painting with DryLok.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

If you are sealing the wood, it really does not matter. Even maple plywood is typically made out of pine, it just has a thin maple veneer over the pine.

Painting or using a poly or equivalent sealer will seal in any potential toxins from the pine.

Thanks I figured it was something like that because none of the articles I read made reference to it being an issue. But, I definitely don't want to make any mistakes.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
