Hi folks, I have not yet owned a reptile but I'm doing as much research as possible. I don't have a massive bedroom, and the only probable space I can think of using is a compartment in my closet. My closet has sliding doors that can keep a section open (so the lizard isn't kept in the dark) but my main concern here, is that the designated compartment is almost more cube-like, rather than being longer like most beardie vivariums. The space holds 46 gallons and the dimensions are 27x18.5x22 (LxWxH). If it helps, I was planning on using the extra height for more floor space, but please tell me if you think this is a bad idea!
Thanks a bunch!

That's not a very big space, especially once you have the lighting rigged up. It would be OK for a small dragon but an adult would be fairly cramped in there (they are 18-24'' long in most cases).

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
