Getting it together.

I am in the process of getting my materials together to make a 4×2×2' tank andI have a budget of $150. I was in sticker shock on the price of glass for the sliding doors for the front and don't want plexiglass. The glass and even plexiglass was outrageously priced and would of destroyed my budget. I went to Lowes and ended up picking up a sliding window for the door because it was on sale for $38. (Big savings).
I priced out my remaining materials and i can finish it for another $68 Plus 20-$25 For little items that I may need.

SO the total is right around $135
I am lucky enough to have everything else I need so that saves a bit of money. (Screws, adhesives and tools)

Has anyone used a window for your tank doors?

Here is the window I'm going to us as my door..
It 14×27"

I've been running into the same issues with cost of glass and don't have a solution yet. Using the window is a really good idea. I hope it attaches nicely. Please let me know how it works out!

It should be a pretty simple process. (Key word "should")
I'm going to put everything together this coming weekend. I'm going to do a picture tutorial on my process.

I'm working on track lighting for the spot/heat bulb so I can adjust the lighting without having extra fixtures.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
