Hey guys, so im about to build my first enclosure. Its gonna be 4x2x2. Only thing i am worried about is the lighting.. I dont want to do any hardwiring or having lights mounted on a screen. I want my lighting to be inside, but i dont know how i would go about doing that. Any advice? Name of fixtures..where to get them and instructions on how to mount them would help me TONS.

If you are going with a T5 tube you can use this one

You can screw in the clip brackets to the ceiling and just push the fixture into the clips. Just make sure you measure properly of course.

For the heat lamp you can use something like this but it will require some electrical work but is super easy. I had never done things like this but was able to do them myself when I built my enclosures.

Here is a video of how to do it, you can skip to 5:20

I used a regular extension cord and cut off the outlets and spliced the wires. All for less than $10. Just make sure you get the length you want.

I saw someone link this product but I don't know if there is a version for the US but it would be cheaper to go with the above.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
