So...I rushed to finish Charlie's enclosure back in March to get him in it (he was in a temporary pen that my 3 year old loved to access). Now that rush job is showing...ugh.
This is the enclosure. The hammock in between the upper levels has come off on one side (I applied too much pressure one day trying to catch a cricket!). The raised 'rock' area at the top of the ramp has cracked, and there are some other minor cosmetic issues cropping up. Also, he keeps falling off the upper level!!! Luckily, he has not harmed himself yet, but Now I'm in momma freak out mode.
Help! I guess I'm looking for advice on how to repair it. I'm honestly debating ripping it out and starting over but making it an insert instead of built in. Possibly even using a plywood base to build on so that it is sturdier and making it so that the only way down is through ONE central area where the hammock is attached.
Any advice is greatly appreciated (this enclosure if 4' x 4' x 20").
Thanks,
Gwen
