Hi all, I'm after a little advice. I'm going to start a project of converting a dresser/cabinet into a viv, but one main worry for me is will the wood catch fire from either heat bulb or uv light?

It's not likely. Just be sure to use a ceramic base that is rated for appropriate wattage. Most of the heat from the basking light will be directed downward. The UVB tube shouldn't produce much heat so that's not a concern. Just be sure the fixture matches the wattage of the bulb. You may want to coat the wood with some Polycrilic to seal it as well. If you browse the enclosures section you'll see lots of examples of people converting old furniture and it may give you some great ideas for modifying your dresser.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
