Could anyone recommend a good wood sealer? I need something that's obviously water proof and heat proof. I'm in the process of a 4'x2'x4' build for a future dragon. The wood is getting stained on Tuesday and I'd like to be able to seal it this week and let it gas off and then get it together in a couple weeks, just in time for me to get the dragon.
I'll be buying the dragon over Labor Day weekend and need a sealer that will be ready before then. So I have a few weeks to work with. I do not need a sealer that will be extremely waterproof, as my dragon will not be in direct contact with the wood. I'll be using a pond liner tarp to cover the bottom of the cage as I'm doing a bio-active set-up. The sealer does not to be sufficiently water proof and definitely heat resistant. Please give an exact brand if you can, as that makes it easier to find and purchase. Just seeing "polyurethane" all over the place doesn't help as there are so many kinds and its so confusing trying to narrow it down to what I need. Please help!!
