My first post here! So at the moment I have one male year bearded dragon, Harley. I live in California and the weather is beautiful almost year round. Right now I have him in a 40 gal tank and I wanted to actually build a nice outdoor enclosure since I have the room. I want it to be an enclosure I can keep him in the majority of the time and when weather permits, because I believe he will be happier outside. But when he can't be outside I still have the 40 gal for him inside.
How large and what building materials should I use? Should it be elevated or to the ground? Substrate, dirt, or stone for the ground? ANY information would be so helpful! Thank you!
