How to "lock" sliding glass doors on viv

I was just wondering if I put sliding glass doors on the viv I'm building how do I secure them shut? I didn't want to put an ugly metal lock between the panels like a store display case...also didnt want to have to use a key to unlock it. I was wondering if they make some type of magnetic end pieces that would secure to panels closed? I found a nice ball bearing glass door setup and don't want to doors to slide open easily by accident...just trying to find a way to secure the doors when they are shut but not lock them.

Or any other suggestions would be appreciated! Need some ideas lol

If you dont want a metal lock i learnt a trick from the last pet shop i worked in.

They put a thin metal rod in the front part of the glass runner that isnt used up by the glass. The glass cannot slide over because the metal rod is in the way, and if you cut it to the right length/thickness it can't be picked out by hand either. You have to use a magnet to get it out, and most thieves didn't think to bring a magnet! We'd notice a kid trying to get the metal rod out long before they managed too, where as the metal locks are not so hard to shift out. It looks much better too since it cannot be seen at all by the public and all the magnets we had to get them out were kept under the till. For the more expensive/rare animal we used both the metal rod and a lock as a visual deterrent and a physical deterrent. Hope that helps

Thanks! That's actually a pretty good idea...might have to use that one...wouldn't be for security reasons so maybe I could have a little "handle" of sorts to pull the rod out. Mainly want it so if the beardie scratches he doesn't get a grip to open the door.
