I am trying to find answers to why. I have been fighting yellow fungus for months with my girl Jesse. I just had her put down yesterday because she developed septic arthritis. It came and went 4 different times over the last few months. We had an x-ray taken to rule out a break or gout. This last time (last week) her front leg swelled up and couldn't walk on it, it was very painful to her. The vet didn't want to do a tap to figure out if it was bacterial or fungal arthritis. He said it was to hard to do a tap on a beardie because of how small they are compared to dogs or cats. Being she had yellow fungus we both agreed it was most likely fungal. I am trying to find answers as to why. Does the septic arthritis go hand in hand with yellow fungus? If so does that mean if they have the fungus sooner or later they get the septic arthritis too? Does it only happen when the fungus gets into the blood stream or the fungus is in the worse stage? I haven't stopped crying having to put my girl down and just want answers if there are any.
