What is this?

I can't seem to figure out what this little spot on his chin is. I've given him baths, tried to take it off with a toothbrush (gently), and searched the internet for solutions. What is this? The picture is from an angle and it made the color of his spot a little lighter. He didn't have this spot when he was younger. Only recently...maybe a week or two.

Beardies can get harmless scale blemishes just as we get skin blemishes. Almost certainly harmless, but just keep an eye on it of course, but probably nothing at all to worry about. :)

I zoomed in on the photo (300%) and it sort of looks like the beginnings of an infection, possibly from a bite injury. Is it tender to the touch, where he'd flinch away?
Do you leave crickets in his tank?
