How long to steam?

Two of my dragons are finishing their meds for coccidia and coccidia/pinworms. I have read that steaming is best for disinfecting their vivs, (grouted tile substrate) but I cannot find out how long I should steam each one. They are 40 gal. breeder tanks.

Hello!

I would steam for 15-30 minutes, rotating throughout the entire tank to be thorough.
Are you steaming daily or just a few times per week?

Thanks, Tracie. I just did it once the day after meds were over. Sounds like I should have been doing it more often. I went over the sides twice and the floor about 5 times. Does it need another go?

Hello,

You might want to give it another round of steaming just to be sure everything is all cleaned. That should do it after that steaming though.
