As a new owner of a bearded dragon I don't know what's normal as far as behavior and poo is concerned. Behavior I will have to learn on my own for the most part but I was hopping you guys could help me with poo. Her poo does smell but, but I'm not sure if it's out of the ordinary poo smell. And her poo is wet. I don't know what is considered a loose stool and what is normal. It's not what I would consider loose or diarrhea like and seems to have healthy urates but never the less I'm concerned. I will post a poo picture tomorrow but would appreciate a picture of healthy poo as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but healthy poo is fairly well shaped with no undigested particles or insects. It can vary in color depending on diet, like you may see orange if they eat a bunch of butternut squash. It has a fairly strong smell that is kind of like urine. It's strong enough to tell when they go so you can clean up immediately with a baby wipe. The urates (white part that comes out first) is normally firm to gooey and can be hard with pink on occasion. If it is hard often or chalky, they can be dehydrated or getting too much calcium. They should be moist and can sometimes have a lot or a little extra clearish fluid in addition to the solid part. The extra fluid should be wattery and is normal for a well hydrated dragon. Poo should not be runny or loose and not well formed. Very similar to us! If they are loose and not well formed often, it could be a sign of parasites and should be checked by a vet. Most healthy dragons will have a small amount of these parasites and are kept in check by good husbandry.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
